Welcome to Aly’s Bakery. By placing an order with us, you agree to the following terms and conditions. These ensure a smooth process for both our team and our valued customers.
Orders
- Personalised orders must be placed at least 5 days prior.
- Orders must be placed at least 7 days before collection. Late orders, if accepted, are subject to a R50 late order fee.
- All cakes below R600 must be paid in full upfront.
- Bento cakes and small cakes require full upfront payment.
- Our prices are non-negotiable.
- We do not promise exact replicas of inspiration pictures — they will be treated as references only.
Payments
- A 60% deposit is required to confirm your order.
- Deposits are non-refundable.
- The balance must be settled 2 days or 1 day before collection/delivery — not on the day itself.
- Payments can be made online via PayFast, EFT, or other methods provided.
- No cash payments are accepted.
Cancellations & Changes
- If you wish to change your order date, please notify us well in advance before we begin baking.
- Cancellations must be made at least 72 hours before collection for a refund (minus admin fees).
- If you cancel an order that has already been baked (or is in progress), no refund will be issued.
- Changes to design, size, or details cannot be guaranteed once work has begun.
Collection & Delivery
- Delivery fees are charged separately.
- Please ensure the venue is well-ventilated, as cakes are heat-sensitive.
- Aly’s Bakery is not responsible for damage to cakes after collection or delivery. Customers are responsible for safe transport and storage.
Allergies & Decorations
- Some cakes may contain allergens (eggs, dairy, wheat, nuts).
- Printed images, toppers, and decorations (e.g., glossy sheets, foam balls, artificial flowers) are not edible and must be removed before serving.
Complaints & Liability
- Once your cake has been collected, photographic evidence of any issue must be provided within 24 hours.
- Refunds will only be considered if Aly’s Bakery is at fault.
- We will not be held accountable for any consequences resulting from your own actions.
